Herbal Medicines

Herbal medicines are often helpful in treating some advanced diseases in which the body is debilitated from poor diet and excessive use of strong medication. Herbal treatment is an alternative therapy which includes plants and plant extracts from the West, East (Chinese) and South (Peru).

Many herbs from South America are commonly used in the West for treatment of cancer. Dr. Manziano will provide herbs to help strengthen certain organ systems in the body as well as enhance and accelerate the healing response.

An example of a medicinal herb from Peru is Cat’s Claw:

Cat’s Claw (Uña de Gato):

This medicinal plant has been known and utilized since ancient times by the natives of Amazonia. This small shrub today is one of the most popular herbal medicines requested worldwide.

The infusion of a teaspoon of dry, chopped cat’s claw bark (twice the amount is required for fresh bark) in 1 quart of water is a very good remedy for the treatment of growths in pets and people.

This decoction should be prepared on low heat for a period of 30 minutes, allowed to cool and sipped throughout the day.
