Enhancing Pet Well-Being: The Benefits of Animal Chiropractic

Pet Chiropractic, also known as Animal Chiropractic, is a holistic approach to healthcare for animals that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, particularly the spine. Chiropractors who specialize in treating animals use manual manipulation and adjustments to address issues such as misalignments, joint restrictions, and other musculoskeletal problems in pets. The underlying philosophy is similar to chiropractic care for humans, emphasizing the relationship between the spine and the nervous system.  Maintaining proper alignment of the spine and other joints can promote overall health and well-being in animals. Chiropractic care for animals, including those experiencing lameness, involves the manual manipulation and adjustment of the musculoskeletal system, particularly the neck, thoracic spine and joints. The idea is to address misalignments, joint restrictions, or other issues that may contribute to lameness or musculoskeletal problems in animals. In cases of lameness, animal chiropractors who specialize may focus on identifying and correcting any spinal or joint misalignments that could be affecting the animal’s gait, posture, or overall movement.

Cold Laser
What Is Cold Laser Therapy?

Cold laser therapy is a type of treatment in which low-intensity light is applied to your body, typically over injured or inflamed tissue. The low-intensity light, referred to as “cold laser,” improves blood flow and decrease pain and inflammation to injured tissues.  Cold laser therapy should not be confused with high-intensity laser that a surgeon may use to cut through tissues. The light-emitting diodes in cold laser therapy are not powerful enough to cut tissue, but they are strong enough to penetrate your skin and promote healing after injury.
Cold laser therapy uses light photons that are introduced to your skin with a wand that contains several light-emitting diodes. As the photons enter your skin and pass through injured tissue, chemical changes to the mitochondria of the cells occur, signaling them to increase the production of adenosine triphosphate. This is the pathway which will cause positive healing to those tissues. But not just any light will work for this healing process to occur. Low-level laser therapy, typically at 600- to 1,000-nanometer wavelength, is best to increase blood flow and improve healing in injured tissues. Treatment duration : An injured knee, for example ,could need a treatment once  a week for 6 weeks. Many cruciate ruptures and ACL injuries will benefit greatly with this gentle and effective treatment.
